Lake Toba, How To Respect Life

Lake Toba1Lake Toba is one of the most beatiful and unique places in the world. It is located in Simalungun Residence, North Sumatera Province, Indonesia. It is a volcanic lake, with 100 km length and 30 km width, and is the biggest lake in Indonesia and South East  of Asian. As the research activities before , Lake Toba was assumpted created by a supervolcano explosition, between 73.000 to 75.000 years ago, and the volcanic materials were amount 2800 km cubics, and the dirts were brought by winds to half of Earth for  weeks. The explotion caused deadly impacts for some species, and decreased the human being by 60%.
Nowadays, thousands years after explosion, the caldera called Lake Toba fulfilled by water and being one of the memoriable place in Asia and in the world to visit. Around the Lake, there are many of ethnicity and cultural thing of people who lived there for thousands years. This people called Batak, are being one of conservative and unique ethnic from hundreds ethnics in Indonesia. One of their cultural product is Ulos, as a symbol of every element in their daily and traditional life. There are so many leaders in Indonesia who come from this unique culture, and keep maintain this tradition.
Lake Toba is not just a lake. There were so many stories lived there for hundreds even thousands years, and influenced the life of Bataknese. Even the explosion had its own story, and still believed at this time. Several stories were about life, how to live with peace, how to obey and honour our parent and families.
Well, the most important of the existence of Lake Toba is, how to put respect to our life.
